The Sadowsky MetroExpress Hybrid PJ Fretless Black Pearl is a bit like the rock star of 4-string electric basses.

The Okoume body which is ultra-light does not compromise on the bass. The roasted maple neck is the cherry on the cake. Warmer, more stable! If you are used to playing on simple maple, here, you will feel a little more. It is like an old wine, it gains character with time. The clarity is there, but with a little velvety side very pleasant to the ear.

This bass' pickup duo, consisting of a shielded J single coil and a P split-coil, covers a wide sonic spectrum, from the typical biting grain of J-Bass to the punchy midrange power of P pickups, with all the nuances in between. And for even more control, the Sadowsky 2-band active preamp allows you to refine your sound with great precision, delivering clear, dynamic and perfectly defined tones.

As for the push/pull function, it's a godsend for tone changes. A quick flick of the switch, and hey presto, you go from active to passive.
