The MKH 8020 microphone, with its omnidirectional pick-up pattern, is ideal for recording large or small musical groups, when used with a "Decca Tree" or "Disque Jecklin" OSS recording system.

As it does not create a proximity effect, it is also a good choice for close miking.
Given the right acoustics, it will produce very impressive recordings.

The extra octave in the low register makes the MKH 8020 perfect for recording church organs, grand pianos, double basses and so on.
