The Zephyr series was born out of a challenge to Vice President of Engineering Kevin Beller: to come up with a high-fidelity humbucker without the usual considerations of cost or materials.
The Zephyr series uses silver wire, which has a lower electrical resistance than copper (5.36%). The result is a pickup with dazzling dynamics, more dynamic range, lightning attack, powerful harmonics and breathtaking detail.
The cryogenics of the parts add punch and clarity. The sound is detailed and the harmonic richness increased: it's very easy to go from a slamming, cutting sound to a full, round sound.
