Electric Guitar Effects

Designed around the philosophy of perfect imperfections, the NU-33 is made to make your sound vibrate, jump, twist and break in all the right ways! With warm, gooey chorus/vibrato sounds, a built-in noise generator and a healthy dose of filters and waveforms, this unique vinyl sound engine delivers all the dreamy modulation textures your Lo-Fi heart could desire! It's all powered by features like tap tempo, expression and CV input, momentary acceleration and vinyl-style jumps, to bring this nostalgic machine into the modern era.

ARTICLE N° 83226
Named after the Greek letter symbolising the spatial frequency and RPM of a turntable, the NU-33 is a lo-fi vinyl modulator like no other.

Designed to capture the ambience of worn-out records with just the right amount of static, the NU-33 serves up chorus and vibrato mixed with tastefully designed hiss, crackle and pops to give your riffs just the right touch of vintage style.

The controls let you choose how much or how little float to add to your tone, colour it with 2 additional filter modes, shape it with 3 different waveforms and dial in the mix with an analogue blend, you can easily make this pedal as pretty and lush or as dark and brooding as you like.

Functions of the buttons and switches on the NU-33 :

- Speed: this knob adjusts the speed of the LFO, from low and slow to fast chirp. Speed can also be manipulated using an expression pedal. (See DIP Switches)

- Flutter: this knob adjusts the width of the chorus/vibrato effect. When set fully counter-clockwise, the NU-33 switches to manual mode, where the delay can be swept with the Speed knob from 15ms to 50ms for a doubling effect. Float can also be manipulated using an expression pedal. (See DIP switches)

- Ramp: This allows you to speed up or slow down the LFO by holding down the Tap Tempo/Ramp switch. With the switch in the centre position, the Ramp function is disabled. Turning it down from the midi position causes it to go down, while turning it up from the midi position causes it to go up. The distance between the knob and the midi position determines how quickly the speed will increase or decrease and return to its original position.

- Hiss: this knob controls the amount of white noise that is mixed into the effect. The hiss can also be manipulated using an expression pedal. (See DIP switches)

- Blend: this centre detented knob mixes wet and dry signals. The centre is a 50/50 blend for chorus effects while turning the blend fully clockwise turns the NU-33 into a vibrato.

- Level: This is the pedal's master volume and can boost or cut the output.

- Wave: This three-position switch changes the waveform of the LFO. When switched to the left, the waveform is a combined sine wave twisting up and down in a triangle shape, the centre selects a traditional sine wave and the right selects a sawtooth wave.

- Skip: This switch provides three tempo presets for the Skip function. The left position selects long (937ms), the centre position selects medium (625ms) and the right position selects short (312ms).

- Color: this switch selects filter modes. Left selects a low-pass filter for darker sounds and right selects a high-pass filter. The centre position bypasses the colour filters.

- Crackle: this switch adds random vinyl-like pops and crackles to your signal when set to the right.

- Bypass/Hold Skip Footswitch: Turns the effect on and off. Holding down the footswitch while the effect is on momentarily engages the Skip function, endlessly looping the signal left in the delay buffer until the switch is released.

- Tap/Hold Ramp Footswitch: This footswitch lets you tap the velocity. When the switch is held down, it increases or decreases the speed, depending on how the ramp knob is set.
