SSL - E-Series EQ Module (500 format racks)
Solid State Logic’s E-Series EQ module lets you rediscover the legendary sound of the ’80s with simplicity that’s perfect for today’s studios. It offers the sonic flexibility to fine-tune your recordings and add character to your mixes. Plus, its compatibility with modular racks makes it a practical choice for any modern studio.
Presentation
One of the module’s special features is its switchability between two historic EQ circuits: the “Brown-02” and the “Black-242”. Here you have the possibility to choose between two distinct sonic personalities, like changing your suit for an elegant evening or a rock concert, depending on the color you want to give to your tracks. These two circuits, coming from the editions of the consoles produced between 1981 and 1989, each bring a unique tonal character that has marked the audio industry.
As a portable console strip, the E-Series EQ takes up the design of the 611E model found on the SSL ORIGIN console. It offers simplified ergonomics while allowing very precise sound processing. Compatible with API 500 racks, this module offers welcome flexibility for those who want to enrich their sound palette without cluttering their studio. In short, for those looking for a little sonic nostalgia without sacrificing modernity, it is a tool that fits into any professional setup.
