The SSL 12 audio interface continues this tradition, offering exceptional audio quality and a range of advanced features in a compact, rugged chassis.
The SSL 12 is a 12-input, 8-output audio interface, offering sampling rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz and a maximum resolution of 32 bits.
It is equipped with three assignable switches and a Legacy 4K switch, inspired by the legendary SSL 4000 consoles, which adds a characteristic analogue warmth and presence.
A built-in talkback mic makes it easy to communicate during recording sessions. High-quality mic preamps offer an A-weighted EIN of -130.5dBu and gain of up to 62dB, capturing clear, detailed recordings.
The interface handles instrument input levels up to +14dBu and line input levels up to +24dBu. The monitor outputs offer a dynamic range of over 120dB and a maximum output level of +24dBu, while the headphone outputs offer a dynamic range of 112dB in Hi-Z and 115dB in balanced line, with a maximum output of +18dBu in Hi-Z and +24dBu in balanced line.
The SSL 12 interface offers extensive connectivity. There are four XLR/Jack 6.35 mm combo mic/line inputs.
In addition, it has two Hi-Z instrument/line inputs on 6.35 mm jacks, an ADAT optical input, four line outputs on 6.35 mm jacks, two headphone outputs on 6.35 mm jacks and MIDI input and output on 5-pin DIN connectors.
The interface is connected via USB 3.0 Type C, and is supplied with USB C to C and C to A cables.
The SSL 12 comes with the SSL Production Pack, which includes software and plugins worth a total of around €1,000.
