Supro - Airwave

The concept behind the Supro Airwave 1x12 is more than just another valve combo: it’s a 25-watt circuit featuring two 6V6 power valves — valves with a clear tone and gentle compression, typical of the American sound of the 1950s — coupled with a Two Notes DynIR simulation engine that extracts the signal before it reaches the speaker and outputs it via stereo XLR DI outputs, ready to be fed into any mixing desk or recording interface. The 12-inch Celestion BD12 speaker continues to fill the room with sound; the built-in headphone output provides a third, completely silent monitoring option.
Two 12AX7 preamp valves and a custom-built Supro transformer form the upstream gain stage. The control panel features Vol, Treb, Mid, Bass, Verb and Master for basic tone shaping, plus Speed and Depth for the tremolo, and Preset with DI Level for managing scenes and the digital output level. The Boost and Drive effects expand the range of available saturation without the need for an external pedal. The two dual TRS footswitches — the Supro SF2s, sold separately — control all these functions from the floor.
The poplar cabinet, finished in Black Taco with cream piping and a black Supro-logo Hemp grille, gives the unit a understated colour scheme consistent with the brand’s visual identity. The software editor, available on PC, Mac, Android and iOS, extends control over the DynIR parameters far beyond the panel’s knobs.
