Supro - Black Magick 2x12

Two cones, a single character: the Supro Black Magick 2x12 Extension houses two Supro BD12 speakers in a 2x12 configuration within a wooden cabinet calibrated so that every watt received translates into sound pressure, without unwanted dispersion or a lack of punch in the lower midrange. The BD12s are in-house-designed transducers — their deep, punchy sound is perfectly suited to the tonal range of Supro valve amps, as if they were designed for one another.
What sets this cabinet apart on paper is its switchable 4- or 16-ohm impedance: a single input to power both speakers, and two selectable impedance settings depending on the paired head. This flexibility removes the constraint of electrical matching, a critical variable all too often overlooked in live performance situations. The poplar cabinet — a wood offering direct mechanical transmission and a modest weight of 19 kg — contributes to the cabinet’s rigidity without unnecessarily adding to the overall weight. The dimensions (710 × 476 × 222 mm) place the cabinet within the standard 2x12 format.
The design follows the series’ aesthetic: Black Rhino Hide finish with black piping, a Supro Silver/Black grille and a Dog Bone handle — a visual simplicity consistent with the amplifiers in the same family, notably the Black Magick and the Black Magick Reverb. Whether on stage or in the studio, this cabinet acts as a natural extension of the Supro heads: the same acoustic character, the same design DNA.
