Tascam - MM-4D/IN-E

The Tascam MM-4D/IN-E is designed to simplify the integration of analogue sources into a networked audio environment. With its four mic/line inputs and Dante/AES67 interface, it instantly converts analogue signals into digital audio streams that can be distributed throughout a Dante network. Its compact half-rack format means it can easily be fitted into an equipment rack, under a conference table or in a fixed installation where space is limited.

This MM-4D/IN-E version uses Euroblock connectors, which are particularly well-suited to permanent installations. The four microphone preamps developed by Tascam deliver excellent audio quality with low background noise, a wide gain range and 48 V phantom power for condenser microphones. The unit also supports 4 Dante input and output channels, allowing signals to be retrieved or redistributed over the network without the need for additional equipment.

The on-board digital processing is one of this interface’s key strengths. Each channel features gain control, a 4-band equaliser, automatic level control, a compressor, polarity reversal and a mute function. The 8 × 4 DSP mixer and 12 × 4 routing matrix allow you to create multiple independent mixes whilst incorporating advanced features such as automatic ducking or ambient noise compensation (ANC).

Compatible with Dante Controller, Dante Domain Manager and AES67, the MM-4D/IN-E integrates easily into modern audio infrastructures. Its PoE power supply, management via Tascam DCP Connect or EZ Connect, and the ability to store 50 scenes make it a professional solution that is both high-performance and scalable for fixed installations.
