The English Muffy is a versatile electric guitar effects pedal that combines the characteristics of the HiWatt amp and the Big Muff. The result is a diverse tonal palette.
With its characterful settings, you can explore several acoustic styles.
At the lower 12 o'clock position, this reference delivers authentic HiWatt sounds, perfect for achieving a precise and clean tone. As you approach 12 o'clock, the tone becomes more crunchy. It evokes 70s Who classics like "Who Are You", "Baba O'Riley" and "We Won't Get Fooled Again".
As you go past 12 o'clock, the upper mids come to the fore. They are ideal for solos in the style of David Gilmour and Pink Floyd. At full throttle, this pedal can produce a sonic intensity that may make your friends or the singer want to back off. This is a feature that may be desirable in certain contexts.
The independent Muff section offers even more possibilities. The Sustain control adjusts the overall amount of fuzz. It allows you to modulate the degree of saturation.
