Presentation
The Thorn Soundlabs Black Swamp pedal is an analogue fuzz designed for guitarists who want to control every detail of their saturation. It covers a wide sonic palette, from warm, thick fuzz to a more raw, incisive sound. The Gain control adjusts the intensity of the saturation. The Volume control adjusts the output level for easy integration into your setup.
The Damping control acts on the low frequencies before the distortion stage. This prevents the bass from being too invasive and produces a tighter sound. This function brings a precision rarely found on a traditional fuzz.
Active Bass, Mid and Treble EQ help to shape the spectrum with finesse. The Mid Freq control modifies the midrange centre frequency to precisely target the area to be emphasised. This helps to cut through the mix or thicken the sound as required.
The Character switch offers three different responses: Smooth, Normal or Hot. The Hard Clip switch lets you choose between softer and harder clipping. The pedal operates in True Bypass mode to preserve the signal when the effect is deactivated. Powered from 9 to 18 volts, it's compact and robust, making it easy to fit onto a modern pedalboard.
