The Triton Audio Phantom Blocker prevents the passage of 48 V phantom power while allowing the audio signal to flow unaltered. It effectively protects microphones, preamps and audio outputs from the risks associated with unwanted phantom power.

Presentation
In an audio installation, phantom powering is often essential, particularly for condenser microphones. But in certain situations, it can become problematic, even risky for the equipment. This is precisely where the Phantom Blocker comes into its own.
Its role is simple, but essential. It completely blocks phantom voltage while allowing the audio signal to pass through transparently. Whether the 48 V is present at the input or the output, it will never be transmitted to the equipment connected on the other side. This isolation avoids tricky situations, particularly with ribbon microphones, vintage equipment or certain sensitive circuits.
It is particularly useful in a number of contexts. When a fragile microphone cannot withstand phantom power, the Phantom Blocker acts as an immediate safety device. On some older preamps, whose input transformers can be affected by an external voltage, it prevents any risk of damage. It is also useful in more technical configurations, such as the use of unbalanced to XLR cables, where poor phantom management can cause a short-circuit.
It can also be used to protect the output of a device connected to a console with phantom power activated. In this case, it acts as a simple and effective barrier, without requiring any modification to the existing configuration.
Its passive operation means it can be used immediately, without the need for a power supply or adjustment. The Phantom Blocker connects directly to XLR and integrates naturally into the audio chain. Its compact size and robust construction mean it can be used in the studio, on stage or in a fixed installation.
