With the BBP34 Moonlight Blue, Yamaha has created a 4-string bass designed for the discerning musician. Made in Japan, it combines a solid alder/maple body with a mahogany/maple neck for great tonal response. Made in Japan, this 4-string bass combines an alder/maple/alder body for excellent tonal stability with a 5-ply maple/mahogany neck for added solidity and responsiveness.
The rosewood fingerboard is easy on the fingers, giving you a smooth, natural feel that's ideal for long sessions.
IRA (Initial Response Acceleration) technology optimises playability as soon as the instrument is opened, so you can get to grips with it straight away.
The Yamaha Convertible Vintage Plus Light bridge offers precise tuning, with a choice of string mounting through the body or bridge, and two types of saddle for fine-tuning response.
Sound-wise, this model is equipped with two Alnico V pickups (VSP7n / VSC7b), capable of producing articulate, well-balanced tones.
