Using Yamaha's exclusive virtual circuit modelling, the YC88 is one of the most realistic analogue organ emulations on the market, and comes with a wide range of additional instrument voices and quality edge effects.

The YC88 is brimming with the characteristic sounds of Yamaha's classic range of combo organs - super fat lows, thick organ swells, sweet emanations and biting leads, plus the inimitable sound of a rotary speaker. With its tiller controls, the YC88 has a huge sonic palette and tons of tweaking possibilities. Superimpose a large organ pad. Pull the bars back for a focused sound. Turn up the percussion volume. Beyond the organ's incredible sound, Yamaha's updated Stage operating system and the YC88's Dual Keys section let you control a multitude of instrument voices, including acoustic and electric pianos, FM synth, strings and brass. And the YC88's nine built-in effects, such as vibrato/chorus, reverb, delay and drive, offer endless musical possibilities.

Physical drawbars and an intuitive control surface make it easy to shape sounds on the fly without getting bogged down in programming patches. Yamaha's Seamless Sound Switching feature lets you change patches while retaining notes without the sound cutting out. Designed for musicians accustomed to playing all types of instruments on a fully weighted piano keyboard, the YC88 features an 88-note hammer-action triple-sensor keyboard with synthetic ebony and ivory keys that are sure to please the most demanding pianists.

The basis of the YC88's rich, detailed sound is Yamaha's Virtual Circuit Modelling (VCM), which digitally emulates analogue circuitry down to the level of individual components. Yamaha has been working with physical modelling since the development of its VL1 virtual acoustic synthesiser, which was launched in 1993. In the decades since, the company has continued to refine its proprietary modelling technology and integrate it into cutting-edge, iconic products that deliver astonishingly realistic digital emulations of traditional instruments.
