Static Microphone
Miniature cardioid condenser microphone with built-in preamp. The M1255B is designed for extremely high sensitivity. This, combined with very low-noise electronics, means it can be used as a distance microphone, overhead or on a conference desk. The M1255B is particularly effective in situations where obtaining the correct gain is a challenge, whether because the console has limited gain or the power of the sound source is reduced.

For orchestral instruments, the M1255B can be positioned between 7 and 30 cm depending on the acoustics of the instrument and the room.
For speech or single voice, the typical working distance is 20 to 25 cm.
