B&C Speakers - DCX464 16 Ohm Coax Driver

The B&C Speakers DCX464 16 Ohm Coax Driver is the culmination of years of research and acoustic engineering. This coaxial compression driver redefines the reproduction of the mid-high frequency spectrum thanks to a double diaphragm design, designed to guarantee exceptional sonic continuity and clarity over a very wide bandwidth.

The first diaphragm, dedicated to the midrange, covers the range from 300 Hz to 5.5 kHz with an impressive sensitivity of 112.7 dB and a 100 mm voice coil capable of handling 220 W continuously. The second diaphragm, reserved for high frequencies, takes over between 3 and 18 kHz with a sensitivity of 113.3 dB and a 65 mm voice coil capable of handling 160 W continuously. The patented integration of the two sections guarantees perfect temporal coherence, drastically reducing distortion and improving signal linearity.

The DCX464 uses a neodymium magnet for high magnetic power in a compact format, while incorporating high-temperature polymer materials to ensure high thermal stability. As a result, this coaxial motor offers extended dynamic range and formidable precision, even at high volume levels, while maintaining minimal distortion.

Designed for the most demanding professional applications, it works perfectly with the ME464, ME148 or FB464 horns, offering a complete, seamless solution for line-array systems or high-performance full-range loudspeakers.
