Presentation
The DE250 16 Ohm Push Buttons compression driver is one of B&C Speakers' most versatile references for professional PA speakers.
It is based on a proven architecture, combining a 25 mm (1") groove with a robust motor, capable of operating durably at high power levels while maintaining precise, controlled reproduction.
One of the central features of this model is its polyimide diaphragm. This material offers an excellent compromise between thermal stability, mechanical strength and smooth acoustic behaviour.
It enables the DE250 to withstand high levels of continuous power, while maintaining an extended, controlled response at the top end of the spectrum. This approach contributes to a balanced sound reproduction, with good legibility of details and appreciable stability over long periods of use.
The 44 mm aluminium voice coil contributes to the overall efficiency of the motor and its high output. Combined with a high magnetic flux density, it achieves a sensitivity of 108.5 dB, making it easy to integrate the motor into high-performance two-way systems.
The recommended crossover frequency of around 1.6 kHz simplifies connection with midrange or bass drivers, while maintaining a clean, coherent transition zone.
