The Black Lion Audio Auteur Quad 2 is the four-channel rack-mount version of the famous Auteur preamplifier, which has become a benchmark for those seeking a precise balance between fidelity, impact and musicality. Its hybrid architecture is based on a fast, detailed American-style active component input, combined with a US-made Cinemag transformer output, which adds subtle thickness and a feeling of substance inspired by classic British circuits.

This combination allows the Auteur Quad 2 to adapt to a very wide range of sources. It excels on drums, where its fast attack respects transients, but also on vocals, guitars, basses or acoustic instruments, whenever you want to retain precision while adding a denser sound base. The increase in gain compared with the first generation means you can work without constraint with dynamic or ribbon microphones, even those with low sensitivity.

Each channel has its own independent phantom power supply, a phase inverter and a -10dB pad, offering real flexibility in complex configurations.
