The poplar body is structurally light, making it ideal for transport, while retaining a warm, organic resonance. The two-piece screw-down maple neck offers proven dimensional stability to changes in humidity - not an insignificant criterion for a road instrument. The dense, smooth laurel fingerboard allows fast playing with minimum resistance under the fingers.
The 596 mm pitch and 18 frets are enough to cover all the bass lines you'd expect from a pop, rock or rehearsal instrument. The custom 125-105-85-65 drawbar balances tension and flexibility to maintain a stable intonation on this reduced format.
