Presentation
Marco De Virgiliis launched Markbass in Italy in 2001, initially making a name for himself with his amplifiers before going on to build his own bass guitars. The Markbass MB 4 3-Tone Sunburst JB continues this Italian legacy within the MB Entry Level Basses range, under the model number MBB148069C.
The poplar body features the classic JB silhouette in a 3-Tone Sunburst finish, set against a black pickguard and a chrome control plate.
The narrow maple neck spans a 34-inch scale length to a laurel fingerboard, where 20 frets mark each position, whether playing with a pick or by fingerpicking.
Two J/J single-coil pickups – one at the neck and one at the bridge – convey the natural tone of the wood to the amp, controlled by two volume controls and a tone control. This J/J pairing evokes the favourite playground of bassists who favour slap technique and lines inspired by Jaco Pastorius.
Supplied with a Gloxy gig bag and an MB strap, this bass is ready to take you straight to rehearsal or back on stage.
