Markbass - MB 4 White PB

The Markbass MB 4 White PB is a four-string electric bass fitted with a single P-style split-coil pickup, a configuration that captures the direct character of the Precision sound. The pickup delivers a round, full-bodied tone, well-suited to both rock riffs and soul grooves.

Its poplar body features a P-style offset shape and is finished in white, a colour carried through to the headstock to maintain a consistent look. The black pickguard contrasts with the finish, whilst the chrome control plate and chrome potentiometer knobs add a subtle touch to the overall design.

The slim maple neck offers a quick feel, with 20 frets on a laurel fingerboard. The 863.60 mm (34-inch) scale length maintains the standard string tension of a four-string bass and suits both sharp attacks and fingerstyle playing.

The passive electronics of the Markbass MB 4 White PB are easily adjusted using the volume and tone controls. Without an active preamp, it retains a direct response and the natural character of the split-coil P pickup, with the round, crisp tone typical of the Precision style.

Markbass is a brand founded in Italy in 2001 by Marco De Virgiliis, based on the idea that a bass doesn’t need to be heavy. This legacy continues with the individual inspection of each instrument at the company’s headquarters in Italy, before the bass – part of the MB Entry Level Basses series – is shipped out with a Gloxy gig bag and an MB strap, in the spirit of the acoustic style inspired by Jaco Pastorius.
