Markbass - MB 4 White JB

The Markbass MB 4 White JB is a four-string electric bass in the JB style, whose poplar body delivers a balanced response and a rounded mid-range. Its white finish contrasts with the black pickguard and chrome control plate, whilst the offset body retains the classic Jazz Bass contours to ensure a comfortable grip without weighing down the shoulder.

The slim maple neck makes it easy to reach the strings and feels natural to play, whether using a pick or playing with a more forceful, Jaco-inspired touch. Its 20 frets sit on a laurel fingerboard, offering a smooth feel under the fingers and a response suited to both bass lines and thumb-style playing.

The pair of single-coil J/J pickups – one at the neck and one at the bridge – produce that nasal, round tone reminiscent of the acoustic style inspired by Jaco Pastorius. Two volume controls and one tone control allow you to balance the output between the two pickups, ranging from a deep, rich tone to a piercing, bright sound, without the need for a built-in preamp.

Its 863.60 mm (34-inch) scale length follows the standard for four-string electric basses and offers familiar position markers. Part of the MB Entry Level Basses series, the Markbass MB 4 White JB comes with a Gloxy gig bag and an MB strap, so you can head straight to rehearsal or the stage as soon as you take it out of the box.
