Thanks to its high-level GT processor, the GT-1 delivers sound quality and editability far superior to most compact multi-effects. All of BOSS's historic expertise is at your fingertips, from classics like the OD-1 overdrive to the most modern effects using innovative MDP technology. You'll also find a wide range of COSM amp simulations, from legendary vintage models to original BOSS amps with optimized tone and response. Original effects like the Acoustic Simulator and Guitar Simulator provide a wealth of timbral options, and there's even a Looper to make your work sessions more fun and enrich your music on stage.

The GT-1 has been designed for musicians on the move. It's surprisingly light and compact, while still giving you the legendary BOSS ruggedness. Its modern design fits neatly into the accessory pocket of a guitar case. With no sharp edges, it won't damage your instrument. Battery- or mains-powered, it lets you perform in any situation and will give you up to seven hours of playing time, for street gigs and other mobile performances.

With the GT-1, it's easy to find fantastic sounds to suit your style, and just as easy to change them to suit your mood. Beginners will be able to enjoy great sounds right out of the box, while more experienced musicians will appreciate the speed and intuitiveness of the settings. The Easy Select function lets you choose patches according to genre, distortion or effect type, while the Easy Edit function lets you modify Drive, modulation and EchoTone to achieve perfection with a minimum of fiddling. Dedicated front-panel controllers provide On/Off switches for effect groups and unlock ultra-detailed sound adjustment parameters.

At BOSS Tone Central, you'll find tons of free patches for playing all styles of music with the GT-1. Created by professional guitarists, these patches are ready to use and provide a solid foundation for advanced players who like to customize their sounds. The free BOSS Tone studio software provides a complete editing and filing interface for the GT-1, as well as integrated access to all BOSS Tone Central patch collections.

The GT-1's three footswitches are cleverly designed to allow patch selection, tuner access and loop control in a minimal space. The dedicated CTL1 switch can be assigned to any function at will: tap tempo, effects on, etc. The expression pedal and its switch can be assigned to adjust volume, wah-wah or other parameters. If you're looking for more control, you can connect up to two external footswitches or an expression pedal. And as well as providing access to BOSS Tone Central and BOSS Tone Studio, the GT-1's USB port lets you record and re-amplify your sounds in your home studio.
