D'Angelico - Deluxe SS Satin Honey

At D’Angelico, the Deluxe Series is taking on a new status. The SS Satin Honey swaps the hollow-body design for a semi-hollow body with a central block, a design that offers improved stability and sustain without compromising the brand’s signature woody tone. The Satin Honey finish bathes the whole instrument in a golden glow, complementing the gold hardware adorning the bridge, tuning machines and strap buttons.
The three-piece maple/walnut/maple neck, shaped to a C-profile and set into the body (set neck), features an ebony fingerboard with a scale length of 304.8 mm. The twenty-two Jescar 47/104 frets cover the entire range without any dead spots, and the 42.86 mm bone nut ensures generous spacing between the strings. The double-action truss rod adjusts the neck’s curvature as the seasons change.
Two Seymour Duncan Seth Lover A4 humbuckers, positioned at the neck and bridge, interact via a 3-position selector switch and coil split function that switches from a full-bodied humbucker to a bright single-coil sound. The two volume and two tone controls offer a wide range of adjustment, from mellow blues to edgier rock, powered by D’Angelico Electrozinc 10-46 strings.
The gold-plated Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stairstep tailpiece ensure stable tuning, whilst the 5-ply Tortoise Scalini pickguard, the 5-ply binding on the body and the Skyscraper ebony truss rod cover lend it a high-end look. A DESSCASE Deluxe Hardshell case completes the package for touring.
