Back to the sixties, but with all the comforts of the 21st century: that's the promise of the DiMarzio Sixties DP305G set. This duo of pickups gives your Jazz Bass the soul of a vintage model, without the technical limitations of the era.
You'll find woody warmth, natural punch and pronounced articulation. The Alnico 5 magnets do their job well, injecting character into every note.
The pickups are moulded in a thin metal cover, curved to match the radius of the fingerboard. Not only is this more pleasant under the fingers, it's also more responsive: the magnets are very close to the strings.
The dual-coil format ensures there's no extraneous noise, even with the amp cranked up. And thanks to the shielded cabling, there's no interference. What's more, wax potting eliminates the risk of feedback.
The bridge pickup is slightly more powerful, to avoid hollows when combined with the neck. The result is greater precision, greater comfort and, above all, greater playing pleasure.
