It's THE Fuzz that can be found on thousands of pedalboards around the world, and has shaken up countless stages, from simple clubs to Madison Square Garden. The Hoof is loosely based on the Rusian Green Muff circuit and features a hybrid germanium/silicon design, combining maximum tone with maximum stability not found in expensive and temperamental vintage circuits. Eartquaker Devices hand-tune their Germanium transistors to exacting specifications for consistency from pedal to pedal, simplifying Fuzz purchasing and ensuring that their Hoofs always deliver the same smooth, natural and harmonically rich Sustain.

The Hoof is a simple, easy-to-use device capable of producing sounds ranging from warm, grainy overdrive to a huge sustain fuzz.
It's a hybrid germanium / silicon Muff-style Fuzz (based on the old Green Russian Muff) with huge volumes and smooth amp-like sustain.
The sound is sharper than most Muffs, making it more precise and noticeable in a band.
The Shift control is the key to the Hoof's character, altering the frequency response of the tone control: clockwise, the mids are boosted and counter-clockwise, they are enhanced.
The Hoof has become the fuzz par excellence for many connoisseurs.
