Presentation
The COMP-2A from Golden Age Audio (formerly Golden Age Project) faithfully embodies the heritage of a classic 60s optical compressor. Its architecture is based on an electro-luminescent panel and a photocell to regulate the gain. Compression unfolds organically as a function of input level and selected threshold, without the need for further adjustment. Thanks to its tubes and transformers, it injects character and musicality into your analogue processing chain, with a flavour not found in plug-ins.
