Presentation
ASM's Hydrasynth Deluxe is twice as powerful as the original, with a dual audio engine for a total of 16 polyphonic voices (monotimbral). It also boasts a larger 73-note keyboard with high-end touch, still featuring ASM's PolyTouch® technology (polyphonic aftertouch).
This Deluxe version is the equivalent of two Hydrasynths in one:
- KeySplit and Dual voice mode patches with 8 independent voices
- Separate balanced stereo audio outputs are available for each of the two parts
parts (so 4 analogue outputs in all)
- Easily accessible 4 octave ribbon controller for a rarely equalled expressive dimension
In addition, there are CV/GATE inputs/outputs for interfacing with modular or other voltage-controlled synthesizers.
The creative potential of this instrument is enormous, thanks in particular to its WaveScan
oscillators, a Mutator waveform section, user-configurable filters, countless LFOs and envelopes, not to mention a host of insert and master effects.
The Hydrasynth Deluxe is truly a dream synthesizer and probably one of the best controllers for live performance.
