The J. Leiva Eco Cajon Medina Series has been designed with a different approach, one that is almost closer to the raw material and the direct relationship between musician and instrument. Here, wood is not just a construction element: it plays a full part in the Cajon's sound identity and ambience.

The frame is made from recycled Chilean pine with 'Finger Joint' assembly, a technique that reinforces the rigidity of the structure while retaining a more natural resonant feel. The choice of a varnish-free finish, treated with natural resins and oils, also changes the feel of the instrument. In the hands, the touch feels less cold, more alive, with a response that retains plenty of relief in the nuances.

In an acoustic context, this Cajon easily finds its place. The highs remain brilliant without becoming aggressive, while the basses retain something round and velvety that naturally supports the groove. Whether accompanying a guitar, a voice or a more percussive set, it retains a real sense of balance and breath in the playing.

The four-string D.T.S. system can also be adjusted from the outside, so you can quickly adapt the character of the timbre to suit the mood you're aiming for, without interrupting the musical moment.
