Its one-piece solid American oak chassis is an immediate eye-catcher. This construction, combined with Finger-Joint assembly and an oak interior frame, contributes to the model's identity while highlighting the expertise developed around this series. Inside, an architecture inspired by the Line-Array principle works to manage resonance and reduce unwanted frequencies.
The real uniqueness of this Cajon lies in its striking surface. J. Leiva uses a table made from 4K aeronautical carbon fibre. In the hands, this surface develops a very direct response that reproduces both delicate strokes and more pronounced accents. The nuances remain legible and the playing retains great precision.
The Quadruple D.T.S. system completes the package, with eight externally adjustable guitar strings. This configuration provides a wide range of responses and is ideal for percussionists who like to explore different tonal colours.
