In 1963, history was made with the release of the Silvertone Twin Twelve amplifier.
Originally listed in the Sears catalogue as the 1484, the Twin Twelve was offered from 1963 to 1967 and became the most coveted of all Silvertone amplifiers.
The unique sound of this amplifier proudly feeds the tones of many of today's rock icons, such as Jack White, Dave Grohl, Beck, Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) and many others.
Now, Jackson Audio and Silvertone are making history once again with the introduction of the 1484 Twin Twelve pedal.

The 1484 Twin Twelve pedal is a partial recreation of the Silvertone Twin Twelve amplifier.
Not inspired by the original, nor modelled after it, the 1484 Twin Twelve pedal takes the exact schematic of the legendary amplifier and replaces the tubes with JFET transistors.
JFETs are a unique type of transistor that behave like tubes.
The inherent characteristics of JFETs are what give the 1484 Twin Twelve the same touch sensitivity and dynamic response as the original amplifier.
To get every bit of performance and tone from the JFETs, the internal power supply is robust and includes a voltage doubler, which converts the 9V you send it into 18V, so the JFETs have a more dynamic response and better touch sensitivity than pedals operating at 9V.
Each pedal is hand-built using premium parts, including a polished stainless steel case, just like the original amplifier chassis. Perhaps the most iconic visual element of the Silvertone 1484 amplifier, the knobs, were no longer manufactured, so they were custom-made to recreate the classic look, in a size to match the dimensions of the pedal.
No detail has been overlooked in restoring this legendary circuit to its original form. To provide the functionality that modern musicians need, a soft-click true bypass switch has been fitted, so that your own sound remains intact and the pop of switching can no longer be heard.
