ST Style Guitar

Jet Guitars JS 400 HT Black The Jet JS-400 HT BK is a matt black solid-body guitar with a single pickup — a ceramic humbucker wired to a single volume control, and nothing else. The rosewood on roasted Canadian maple, Medium Jumbo frets and bone nut combine to produce a direct, thick signal, free from any unnecessary filtering. There’s just one choice to make: play loud or play softer.

Some guitars are a bit too flashy. The Jet JS-400 HT BK isn’t one of them. A ceramic humbucker at the bridge, one volume control, no frills — the signal travels in a straight line from the wood to the amp, with no unnecessary stages to dilute the warmth or soften what should cut through. Whether in the studio or at rehearsals, this minimalist design produces a thick, focused tone that’s instantly recognisable in a busy mix.
The materials here make a real difference. The body, crafted from roasted poplar — top, sides and back — absorbs less than untreated wood and reproduces more: the attack has depth, and the sustain stretches out without fading. The rosewood fingerboard on a torrefied Canadian maple neck creates a distinct sensory contrast — the warmth of the rosewood against the dryness of the maple — which is evident in the sound as much as it is under the fingers. The Modern C profile on a 647.7 mm scale length results in a neck that doesn’t tire the player during long sessions, with strings that retain their tension and bite right to the end of the neck.
The 22 Medium Jumbo frets on a 241.3 mm radius allow for forceful bends without the note becoming muffled at the end of the bend. The 41.9 mm nut width allows the sound to breathe without losing focus. The bone nut — or polymer fibre, depending on the date of manufacture from 2025 onwards — manages the transmission of vibrations as they exit the neck. The pearlescent white pickguard, chrome tuners and double-action truss rod round things off neatly. In Black, the whole package comes together without being flashy.
