On the electronics front, the SSS configuration featuring ceramic pickups with a 5-way selector switch, 1 volume control and 2 tone controls covers the entire Stratocaster spectrum: crystalline brightness in position 1, a mid-range tone in positions 2 and 4, and a warm, rounded tone in position 5.
