Electric Guitar Effects
In addition to the most common phaser controls, the Horizont offers a plethora of new and exciting options for all interstellar tone hunters. To considerably expand the range of phasing tones available, KMA Machines has implemented a digital LFO with no fewer than eight different waveforms. The envelope generator is one of Horizont's absolute key features. It turns your input signal into a control source for modulating the speed of the digitally controlled LFO, or lets you manually phase for a resonant, tactile wah sound, depending on the state of the SWP and SPURTCONTROL switches.

Presentation
Jump aboard the Horizont spaceship and begin your journey through galaxies of stars as you discover the incredible immensity of the sounds created by this multi-spacial, inter-dimensional stereo JFET phaser.
The unexpected is there behind the distant horizon!
The Horizont's mission is to push you beyond conventional phasers and take you to unexplored lands.
By combining an analogue JFET phaser with digitally controlled dynamics, the Horizont delivers vivid experiences of expressive modulation, while providing unique experimental and creative features.

Set the SPURTCONTROL switch to LFO to let the SPURT knob adjust the internal phasing speed.
However, by toggling the switch to ENV (Envelope) mode, it allows you to dynamically modulate the speed throughout the LFO speed range, depending on the volume of the input source (for example, when you hit the strings hard).
You can also combine the SPURT knob with the envelope by toggling the switch to LFO + ENV, where SPURT sets the minimum speed. For even more control, you can even plug in an external expression pedal/CV-source (0-5V) to change the minimum speed on the fly or you can use the TAP TEMPO switch (just press twice) to adjust the speed to match the tempo of your music.
The EXP-Mode switch also lets you choose between manual phasing, controlled by an expression pedal or an external CV source.
Setting the EXP-Mode switch to the middle position will disable any external expression control.
The SWP (Sweep) switch lets you decide whether to use the LFO or the envelope of your instrument's signal to control phasing.
The envelope can be adjusted up or down.
via the ENV switch, see the LFO slow down or speed up, or reverse the orientation when phasing manually from bass to treble and vice versa.
In conjunction with the FUEL (sensitivity) and DECAY controls, the envelope can be perfectly tailored to your needs.
We've retained the EMPH (Emphasis) mode from our original Astrospurt Phaser, but reworked and refined it extensively for the Horizont.
The four toggle switches determine the stage at which the out-of-phase signal is fed back into itself, while the REG (regeneration) control defines the amount of feedback.
We've also smoothed out the overall sound of the EMPH mode for a more pronounced, clean vocal tone.
Each of the different switch variations and turns of the REG control will give different results, allowing you to discover wild, fuzzy and noisy new galaxies as you travel deeper into this sonic wormhole.
To help you levitate through space-time, we've also added a stereo output to the Horizont.
You can toggle between standard stereo and pan output via the STEREOPAN switch. Synchronised with the speed of the LFO, the upper cycle of the LFO sends the signal to OUT1 and the lower cycle to OUT2.
It's without doubt the most liquid and amazing phasing experience you'll ever embark on.
But wait, there's more! Stop and take a deep breath, set the MIX control to completely clean and the Horizont turns into a tremolo on the spot, with all the other features mentioned above.
Last but not least, we've fitted the Horizont with an FX-Loop just in front of the phase shift line. This allows you to add your own secret sonic weapons to this spaceship, seeing you create your own unique phasing sounds.
KMA Machines have also greatly increased the pedal's headroom by increasing the internal circuit voltage to 18V, from the normal 9V input, to give the cleanest phasing possible, whatever instrument or line source you're using.
But don't be fooled by all the seemingly complex features, the Horizont is a super-intuitive next-generation phaser that will see your sound take off in seconds.
Whether you're looking for traditional phaser sounds, experimental synthetic soundscapes or super dynamic sonic efforts, the Horizont will have you covered to infinity and beyond.
