Kurzweil - PC4

The Kurzweil PC4 keyboard is an 88-note stage instrument designed for musicians who want a realistic feel, a huge sound reserve and advanced programming possibilities. Its heavy keyboard with aftertouch reproduces a feel close to that of an acoustic piano, while remaining suitable for synthesizer, organ or modern textural sounds.

The V.A.S.T. engine developed by Kurzweil enables extremely advanced sound processing with up to 32 layers per program and 256-voice polyphony. The PC4 also features a 6-operator FM engine, KB3 ToneReal™ organs, multiple arpeggiators, MIDI sequencers and an extensive effects section including reverbs, delays, rotary simulations, compressors and modulations.

Over 1000 presets are included from the factory, with detailed grand pianos, electric pianos, organs, strings, brass, bass and orchestral sounds from the Forte and PC3 series. FlashPlay memory gives immediate access to sounds without loading time, while 2GB of user memory lets you import your own samples in WAV, AIF or Kurzweil format.

The front panel features a host of physical controllers for direct access to parameters during play. There are 9 faders, 9 potentiometers, several assignable switches, transport controls, transposition controls and a comprehensive 16-zone Multi mode for controlling several instruments or programs simultaneously. Thanks to its audio, MIDI and USB connections, the PC4 integrates easily into a modern stage setup or advanced production environment.
