Electric Guitar Effects

The Lehle Mono Volume 90 is a wear-free volume pedal featuring a high-precision Hall-effect magnetic pickup for wear-free operation. It features a minimum volume control for more precise operation.

The Lehle Mono Volume 90 reproduces all the frequencies of the instrument over the entire length of the platter.
Input and output impedances always remain the same. There is therefore no attenuation of the treble as with a potentiometer.

Inside the pedal, the supply voltage is rectified, filtered, stabilised and then doubled to 18 volts. As a result, the pedal is extremely resilient at all levels, achieving 110dB of dynamic range.
The volume variation applied by the Lehle Mono Volume 90 ranges from -92 to 0 dB, i.e. from almost nothing to full volume.
The MIN knob is used to set the minimum volume of the Mono Volume 90, with an adjustment range from mute (0%) to -10dB (around 90%) of the original signal.
The GAIN button is used to determine the level of amplification of the signal, up to +12 dB.

The Lehle Mono Volume 90 operates very quietly and smoothly because it is fitted with low-friction plain bearings made of high-quality polymer to eliminate mechanical transmissions from the platter to other components.
The platter resistance can be precisely adjusted by means of an adjusting screw.

The Lehle Mono Volume 90 also features a direct output with buffer. This allows you to feed a tuner, a DAW system or a second amp without colouring the sound.

The sensor in the Lehle Mono Volume 90 uses the Hall effect, discovered by Edwin Hall, to measure the strength of a magnetic field.
The Hall sensor in the Lehle Mono Volume 90 is made in Germany and precisely calibrated to the built-in magnet and the stroke of the rocking plate.
The platter simply moves the magnet, whose distance is measured by the Hall sensor, which in turn controls a VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier).
Manufactured in the USA, the high-quality Blackmer VCA replaces the mechanical potentiometer.
The principle of the voltage-controlled amplifier is based on the fact that the amplification varies according to the voltage coming from the Hall sensor. This is far more precise than the mechanical potentiometer or optical sensor of conventional volume pedals, and eliminates potentiometer noise and the need for time-consuming calibration.
