Marcus Miller is also famous for his personal albums. His best-known projects include 'The Sun Don't Lie', 'Tales', 'Renaissance' and 'Afrodeezia'. The latter album was inspired by the music of countries linked to the transatlantic slave trade. For this project, he collaborated with African, Caribbean and South American artists to show the cultural links between different peoples. The work blends jazz, African rhythms and modern influences. Thanks to its originality and musical richness, "Afrodeezia" was nominated for a Grammy Award and enjoyed great international success.
