Presentation
You have a camera to place at the back of the room, but your control room is on the opposite side? The MuxLab SDI extender on UTP solves this headache with a technical elegance that commands respect. This transceiver kit propels your uncompressed video signal - up to 4K30 - through a single Cat6 network cable. No need for expensive, rigid SDI cables: you can use your existing UTP infrastructure or roll out a simple Ethernet link. The distance? Up to 100 metres in 4K, and even 150 metres in 3G resolution. Your camera gains freedom of movement without your technical director losing his mind.
The magic happens as soon as you switch it on. The camera automatically detects the SDI standard (HD, 3G or 6G) and adjusts its settings accordingly. No buttons to press, no obscure menus to navigate. Simply connect your sources to the transmitter's 4 SDI inputs, connect the receiver's outputs to your monitors or mixers, and you're ready to go. The ingenious PoE power supply routes power from the receiver to the transmitter via the same data cable. Just one cable to manage.
Beneath its robust aluminium chassis, the extender hides exhaustive SMPTE compatibility. It is fluent in SMPTE 292M, 296M, 372M, 424M and 425M. In short: it understands everything your professional cameras and replay servers can send it, from pure HD to 4K. The Ethercon interface guarantees a solid connection, resistant to knocks and accidental disconnections in a live environment. There's even a USB port so you can update the firmware or diagnose the link - a not inconsiderable guarantee of longevity.
