REFERENCE : NOVMX30
The Novastar MX30 combines video source processing, signal shaping and distribution to an LED screen in a single unit. Its connectivity supports all the main video formats, whilst its front-panel interface allows settings to be adjusted either directly on the unit or via the VMP software.

Presentation
The NovaStar MX30 takes a particularly practical approach to LED installations that need to accommodate multiple types of light sources without requiring a multitude of intermediate devices. This all-in-one controller combines video processing and display control within a 2U chassis, with a sufficiently varied range of connections to switch seamlessly between a computer environment, a professional video chain or an SDI source.
On the rear panel, the MX30 features an HDMI 2.0 input with loop-through, an HDMI 1.4 input with loop-through, a DisplayPort 1.1 input and two 3G-SDI inputs, each with a return signal. This combination makes it possible, in particular, to mix sources from computers, graphics workstations or video equipment. The processor supports input resolutions of up to 4096 × 2160 depending on the source, whilst output to the display is via ten Gigabit Ethernet ports, offering a total capacity of up to 6.5 million pixels. Two 10G optical outputs also allow system data to be transmitted via a dedicated link, with the second output serving as a copy channel.
The unit can be operated directly from the front panel via the 3.5-inch TFT display, a scroll wheel and a back button. For more comprehensive management, the MX30 can also be controlled via VMP and can be integrated into a control architecture via Ethernet, SNMP, Art-Net or a central control protocol. Up to 20 MX30 units can be cascaded on the network.
In terms of processing, the three independent layers allow different sources to be combined into a single output. Each layer offers several scaling modes, whilst 14-channel colour correction, colour replacement and Genlock synchronisation management provide greater flexibility for adapting the output to the display being used. Low-latency processing can be achieved in under a millisecond, with operation at 0-frame latency, subject to usage conditions.
The MX30 thus provides a comprehensive solution for LED installations requiring a versatile controller that can be operated directly on-site and is open enough to integrate into a wider control chain.
