Novastar - Alimentation pour H5, H9 et H15

The NovaStar backup power supply for the H5, H9 and H15 meets a very specific need in an LED installation: to prevent a failure of the main power supply from causing the video processor – and, consequently, the entire display system – to shut down. It is installed alongside the original power supply to provide a redundant power supply for compatible H-series chassis.

It operates on a simple principle. During normal operation, the main power supply powers the processor. Should the main power supply fail, the backup power supply takes over, allowing the chassis to continue operating. This configuration is particularly important for fixed installations where an interruption to the video system could have significant consequences for the operation of the LED screen.

The accessory is designed for the three relevant formats in the range: the H5 (5U), the H9 (9U) and the H15 (15U). It thus enhances operational continuity for several generations of H-series video processors without requiring the addition of generic external equipment to their architecture. NovaStar offers this power supply as a redundancy option for these models; the H15 also features a specific power supply architecture depending on its configuration.

With its universal mains power supply (100–240 V AC) and IEC connector, it integrates easily into an existing electrical installation. Its active cooling system supports its operation within the chassis and helps to maintain suitable thermal conditions.
