Rme - AES25 4F4M PRO 3m
To combine multiple AES/EBU connections without increasing the number of cables, the RME AES25 4F4M PRO 3m multi-pair cable features a male D-Sub 25 connector combined with eight XLR connectors, comprising four male and four female outputs. This 110-ohm digital multi-pair cable is suitable for audio interfaces, converters and studio equipment using the AES3 format; its 3-metre length is ideal for connecting devices installed in the same cabinet, rack or control room.
Presentation
The cabling features a male D-Sub 25 connector on the equipment side and eight XLR connectors on the other side. The configuration comprises four male XLRs and four female XLRs, allowing digital input and output links to be combined within a single cable bundle. This arrangement is particularly useful for audio interfaces, digital converters, studio systems and production equipment featuring a D-Sub 25 connector for their AES3 channels.
The signal is transmitted at an impedance of 110 ohms, in accordance with the professional AES3 / AES/EBU standard. The cable is compatible with digital audio configurations up to 192 kHz, and each XLR connector is individually numbered. This numbering system allows you to quickly identify each channel when connecting a converter, interface or multi-channel equipment.
At 3 metres, the RME AES25 4F4M PRO offers sufficient length to organise cabling between several nearby devices without requiring the equipment to be positioned immediately. It can therefore follow the route of a rack, connect an interface to a digital patchbay, or link to a mixing console situated a few metres from the conversion point.
The cable is part of the RME ALVA AES/EBU Multicore range. Its 14 mm black sheath, 25-pin D-Sub connector with UNC 4/40 mounting and numbered XLR connectors make it a professional AES/EBU cable designed for installations where clear cabling and the grouping of digital connections are important.
