USB 2.0 audio interface, 22 channels, 24bit / 192kHz
The Babyface has 10 input channels and 12 output channels. The input / output operates in ADAT optical (eg with an ADI-8 QS or DS, or a OctaMic II) or SPDIF, up to 192 kHz. The additional headphone output has its own D / A converter 192 kHz and is available not only directly on the device but also on the breakout. A guitar (or other instrument) can be connected to the Babyface activating the high impedance input mode.
New Total Mix FX developed routing and DSP mixer Built
The new generation of TotalMix offers as always a routing and mixing materials, but adding many new features while improving user comfort. The DSP mixer is not only the equal of embedded software for digital audio consoles upscale, but also offers effects such as 3-band parametric EQ, reverb and delay.
All inputs and outputs can be freely mixed, routed and distributed within the RME TotalMix mixer. Up to 9 totally independent stereo mixes can beings managed. Each output channel downmix and can be recorded without using cables to complete the inputs to the outputs. TotalMix can be completely controlled via MIDI. The DSP calculates RMS and peak levels without consuming CPU power.
Reference clock
SteadyClock ensures optimum quality of a reference clock for conversion.
Perfect control
With a main rotary encoder and two buttons contact, the Babyface design is suitable for all typical studio tasks: volume control, storage and recall of a reference volume, "dim" option, select / change input , input gain control; quick and easy access to all these features has consistently been a focal point of the development team and design. The rows of LEDs are used for both the level and gain of the display, facilitating an accurate visual inspection of all the input levels, output and helmet, directly on the interface.
USB - Made by RME
The Babyface integrates USB technology without RME rival to offer ultra-low latencies on Mac and PC.
