The JX-3P software synthesiser is a detailed replica, right down to its components, of the six-voice JX-3P released in 1983. This iconic instrument marked an era of easy programming and stable tuning thanks to digitally controlled oscillators.

Sounding exactly like the original, the JX-3P Software Synthesizer brings the famous Roland analogue feel of the 1980s to today's digital studio.
The JX-3P is also PLUG-OUT compatible, allowing intuitive hands-free operation with Roland's SYSTEM-8. PG-200 parameters are mapped to the SYSTEM-8's large controllers, giving you a JX-3P/PG-200 combo that you can take on stage without a computer. Alternatively, use the SYSTEM-8 or Roland Boutique JX-03 for manual control of the JX-3P plug-in.

The JX-3P condensed Roland's signature sound into stunning presets built into a beautiful, meticulously crafted design. It was a synth for both novice musicians and professional virtuosos, offering strong midrange presence, crystal-clear highs and punchy bass. It's easy to see why this powerful instrument, with its then-revolutionary MIDI functions, won over so many musicians. And while the interface was a model of simplicity, the PG 200 Synthesizer Programmer was available as an option for those who wanted to take programming with physical controllers a step further.
