Schecter's Nick Johnston Atomic Pickup Set SSS Creme is a signature single-coil pickup set, designed with hand-bevelled Alnico V magnets and Plain Enamel wire, producing sparkling highs and full lows that remain highly responsive to the guitarist's touch and volume control. This set is harmonically balanced, with a DC resistance of around 8.9k ohms for the bridge pickup (slightly warmer) and around 6.6k ohms/6.3k ohms for the centre and neck pickups, the centre pickup being Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity (RWRP) for noise-free (anti-snore) operation in positions 2 and 4 of the 5-way switch.

Designed for fans of clean tones and nuanced dynamics, this trio of passive pickups pays tribute to the sensibility of the vintage style while incorporating the precision of modern manufacturing.
Beneath the cream finish, each pickup houses six hand-bevelled Alnico V magnets, carefully offset to balance string response and preserve a natural attack. The fabric-wrapped two-conductor wiring and quick-return system are reminiscent of the assembly techniques of the 1960s, ensuring a pure signal and excellent stability.
With calibrated power, 8.9 kΩ at the bridge, 6.6 kΩ at the centre and 6.3 kΩ at the neck, the set produces a fluid transition between biting brilliance and velvety smoothness. The universal 52mm spacing ensures perfect compatibility with most S-style guitars.
