Presentation
The SE Electronics DM3 Inline DI is an active inline DI box designed to connect instruments directly to a console, audio interface or PA system. Its compact size means it can be easily integrated into an audio chain without taking up any extra space.
The 6.35 mm TRS input offers a very high impedance of up to 10 MOhms, allowing the signal from instruments such as guitars, basses or piezo sensors to be exploited to the full. This feature is particularly useful for preserving the dynamics and nuances of the signal.
The DM3 operates from a +48V phantom power supply and incorporates a Class A active buffer. This circuit adapts the impedance and transmits a clean balanced signal to the XLR output, while maintaining a low noise level.
The high input level allows powerful sources such as keyboards, synthesizers or drum machines to be handled without saturation. The DM3 also features an interference management system and a ground lift to limit noise from ground loops.
Its in-line design with XLR and jack connectors means it can be set up quickly, without the need for an external box. It can be used both in the studio and live, for fixed or mobile configurations.
