Presentation
The SE Electronics DynaCaster DCM8 completes the DynaCaster series by incorporating both an active stage and sound adjustment options directly on the microphone. This front-address model is designed for vocal applications such as podcasting, streaming or broadcasting, while remaining usable on instruments.
Its dynamic cardioid capsule, based on V-series technology, concentrates the pick-up on the main source while limiting ambient noise. The frequency response of 20 Hz to 19 kHz covers a wide spectrum, suitable for voice and various audio sources.
The DCM8 incorporates an activatable DYNAMITE preamp, offering up to +30dB of gain when phantom power is used. This function allows the output level to be increased without the need for an external preamp. When this function is deactivated, the microphone operates as a passive dynamic model.
Built-in switches allow the frequency response to be adjusted, with several configurations for bass and treble processing. These settings allow you to quickly adapt the rendering to suit your voice or usage, without any external processing.
The microphone also incorporates an internal suspension system and a three-layer pop filter to limit handling noise and plosives. Its format and swivel mount make it easy to position on a microphone arm, with discreet cabling thanks to the integrated XLR output.
