Avantone Pro - Kick

The Avantone Kick is another in a line of microphones designed to meet a specific need: to reproduce the depth and depth of low frequencies without artifice. Designed around the famous AV10-MLF low-frequency driver, inspired by the legendary Avantone white cones, this microphone brings out the fundamental low frequencies where traditional microphones quickly reach their limits.

Unlike a conventional kick drum mic, the Kick acts as a true sub-frequency transducer. Its wide 18 cm cone captures the energy of the sub-bass with a natural response, ideal for boosting the bottom end of the spectrum without resorting to heavy or artificial equalisation. It's ideal for use in front of a kick drum, but also on large sources such as bass toms, subwoofers, or any outlet requiring massive, controlled low-frequency reproduction.

The design is based on a birch plywood shell, used as a real resonance chamber, combined with a 10-inch mesh skin. This choice preserves excellent mechanical coherence while keeping unwanted resonances under control. The Kick operates without a power supply, making it easy to integrate into any studio or live configuration.

Avantone has also anticipated mounting constraints. The microphone comes with a sturdy double-base drum stand, essential for supporting the weight and ensuring perfect stability, whether in the studio or on stage.
