Presentation
Emerging in the late 80s as a teenage prodigy in thrash metal legends Testament, Alex Skolnick immediately established himself as one of the genre's leading guitarists.
In 2002, after graduating from New School University, he explored jazz with the Alex Skolnick Trio and numerous other instrumental collaborations.
Designed with Alex for his signature guitar, these humbucking pickups have become a popular custom-made set from the Custom Shop.
The two pickups complement the expressive melodies and aggressive palm mutes that define his genre-crossing tone.
The bridge pickup is warmly wound and designed to bring out the mid-range frequencies.
The neck pickup has a lower output and vintage tone to provide an articulate counterpoint to the boldness of the bridge pickup.
