Presentation
The Shure ULXD2 N8SB G51 is a digital wireless handheld transmitter designed to integrate seamlessly with ULX-D systems, which are renowned for their excellent RF transmission and high-resolution audio processing. Using 24-bit/48 kHz digital conversion, this transmitter delivers exceptional vocal clarity and reliable transmission with no perceptible latency.
Its supercardioid Nexadyne 8/S capsule is optimized for precise sound pickup, effectively minimizing ambient noise and interference. Thanks to its supercardioid polar pattern, it offers excellent off-axis noise rejection, which helps preserve voice intelligibility, even in demanding sound environments. This feature makes it a preferred choice for singers, speakers and presenters who require faithful and defined sound reproduction.
The transmitter operates on the G51 band (470 - 534 MHz), ensuring frequency flexibility and high signal stability in congested RF environments. It is equipped with Shure Gain Ranging technology, which automatically adjusts the dynamic range of the microphone, eliminating the need for manual gain adjustments.
To ensure secure transmission, the ULXD2 N8SB G51 uses AES-256 bit encryption, preventing unauthorized access to the audio signal. This feature is particularly useful in professional contexts requiring maximum confidentiality.
Battery life is another strong point of this transmitter: it operates on two AA batteries for up to 8 hours, or with an optional SB900B rechargeable battery, allowing more than 12 hours of use. In addition, its external charging contacts allow rapid recharging via the SBC200 and SBC220 chargers.
In terms of ergonomics, the ULXD2 N8SB G51 benefits from a robust metal construction, ideal for intensive use on tour and in the studio. It has a backlit LCD screen that provides real-time information on frequency, battery status and transmission power. The Scan and Sync function via infrared simplifies pairing with a ULX-D receiver, thus speeding up system setup.
A configurable Mute function allows you to temporarily disable the audio while maintaining the RF connection active. This option is particularly appreciated in conferences and presentations requiring precise control of sound capture.
