The SPL DMC All Black is an analogue mastering console designed to serve as the nerve centre of professional studios. Based on SPL 120V technology, it delivers an extremely wide dynamic range and exceptional sonic transparency, making it ideal for demanding mastering environments.
This All Black version retains all the features of the standard DMC, but with an all-black finish that is more discreet and modern in the studio. It allows you to connect up to 4 stereo sources and 4 stereo inputs dedicated to signal processing. Each channel features advanced functions such as mute, phase inversion and gain adjustment in 0.25 dB steps for ultra-precise control.
The DMC All Black also features an insert loop for integrating external processors (EQ, compressors, etc.), whilst maintaining an optimised signal path to preserve audio quality. The monitoring section is particularly comprehensive, supporting multiple pairs of speakers, a mono channel, a subwoofer and a headphone output via Phonitor.
Designed to streamline mastering workflows, it enables rapid comparisons between different sources and ensures level consistency thanks to its loudness compensation functions. The large monitoring knob offers precise and ergonomic control of the overall volume.

The DMC is often used as the ‘brain’ of a mastering setup because, above all, it allows the routing logic to be completely separated from the audio processing, which prevents patching errors and greatly speeds up A/B comparisons. A lesser-known feature is that its 120V architecture allows you to work with a headroom margin far exceeding studio standards, which greatly reduces the risk of internal clipping even on highly dynamic masters.
A feature much appreciated by engineers: the combination of ultra-fine trimming (0.25 dB) and source management enables extremely reliable master comparisons, without any level bias — a critical factor that is often underestimated in mastering.
